After your site is “properly SEO’d” at technical level, you will almost certainly need a certain level of visibility enhancement and promotion, including link building, social media, directories, blogging etc. and the level of work you need is directly correlated with the level of your competition.
Many search marketing firms & consultants focus on clients with a specific budget and need level, and quite often, they cannot service many types of companies efficiently.
