Last year we developed a button for Excel that would let you simply select a column, press the button, and instantly all of the http:// urls became “live” so you could click on them.

It was a huge time saver for spotchecking links, and we had a request to improve upon it by including https:// and a second request to add email addresses too, so we did.

Now, you can make just about any hyperlink live in an Excel spread sheet with the press of a button! –

  • http://
  • https://
  • email@address.com (opens an email)
  • mailto:
  • ftp://
  • news:
  • file://
  • and even www. (adds http://)

If you already have it installed, then all you need to do is get the new file, and copy / paste it to overwrite the other one.
